Post Pop Parade

Chris Price began in the music industry in a very different way to most artists. His first venture was making background music for porn (sorry, ‘adult entertainment’) under the name D’Crescendo. Awesome. Such a good porn name. Anyway, he has broken free of that scene and gone on to bust out a new full length album called ‘Post Pop Parade’. Listening to the album, a few things become apparent. One: his influences can really be heard in a few of the tracks, very Depeche Mode, and two: he really needs to find his voice. Some artists (Bernard Sumner of New Order, Muscles, Tom Vek etc) cant ‘classically’ sing for shit but have found the perfect style and tone for their voice, not just warbling till you hope you hit the notes. In a few songs its spot on, but on others you can hear the notes strain. But ‘Dim the Lights, Evangeline’ is catchy. Give us some feedback.
