I started reading blogs 'cause I was learning new shit from them. I give props to "Dog" not because it's amazing or anything, but because it's at least something different (in terms of more recent stuff) for breakbeat/electro/whateverthefuck. I agree with JD.

without wanting to sound pretentious or anything, it gets played to death. when you have the same track on hypem 3,764,532 times...don't you think it's a bit sort of tedious and boring?

totally Skulltulla. Next Of Kin is really damn good.
Its not the condemnation of recent music, simply a comment on the focus on the style and cookie cutter copycats that spread and, have personally, killed it for me.

thanks for the link to the LB movie, didn't know it was on youtube. i'd have to say though, your use of "jock bullshit" is a bit of a stretch considering the original use of that phrase. new directions are always good, but a condemnation of music of recent past might be a little much, eh? i mean, the new Surkin EP is actually pretty great (a lot of which has to do with the fact that he evolved his sound), but doesn't really deserve to be in the gutter with the 100th Around the World remix by no-name DJ, ya know.
