This is my chance for me to go back through all the stuff that has been caught in my head the past few weeks.
First up is a big dramatic new-wave track from Depeche Mode. With all this attention being on The Presets at the moment, Ive had an urge to go back where it all started with some early Depeche, and its been good.
Everyone knows The Smiths, everyone owns ‘Meat Is Murder’. This is the first track. I love it. Jangle Pop at its best.

Beaches are basically a Melbourne five piece, all dream-babe band that play crazy psychedelic garage rock. Pretty much the coolest girls in town and absolutely kill it every time I see them play.

keep posting the cut copy b – sides. the’yre too hard to find in the states. “I Thought of Numbers” is impossible to find, but i got lucky and met an Australian nice enough to share it with me.
the headmaster ritual is just about as perfect a song as i’ve ever heard.
