I’ve really been getting into Washington label Carpark Records, thanks to some good recommendations. The label is home to some great acts like Ecstatic Sunshine, Dan Deacon and Beach House to name a few, but one Ive just recently discovered is the New Orleans band Belong. Their sound is a kind of fusion of the lush layered guitars of My Bloody Valentine with some of the epic, sweeping ambient synth of M83 (much like his Digital Shades vol. 1). This sets the tone for their sometimes desolate and course sound. Its the sort of music that feels like a warm blanket for your ears.

I cant remember the guys name who did it but its from a whole series of abstract, almost illustration pieces.
