There’s a score of exciting stuff coming out in the coming months that are getting me all in a tussle…
The Juan MacLean’s new LP, The Future Will Come drops April 14 and if this track is anything to go by it should be nice as. Sounds very much like a DFA/LCD cocktail spiked with a touch of the sparsity of Metronomy. 80’s Kraut-disco? whhhaaaat?
MP3: The Juan MacLean – One Day
The smoky, elusive 50’s rocker/perfectionist Jeremy Jay is releasing his 3rd LP Slow Dance next month and the title track makes you feel like doing just that, under a smoky disco-ball. Was lucky enough to see him last November and he was captivating.
Lotus Plaza, solo-project of Deerhunter’s Lockett Punde, is releasing his debut LP, The Floodlight Collective on the 23rd of March through Kranky! There’s been no noise from him since posting a few mp3’s on the Deerhunter blog back in 2007 so it’s great to hear some new material! From the forthcoming album.
Bonus: An old Deerhunter track off the Rob’s House 7“

DAMNIT!!
Thats totally three tracks I was going to post, plus one from my favourite band I dont have!
Why I aughta….
But Lotus Plaza are starting to sound even better than Atlas Sound….. big call I know but Im liking it.
Juan Maclean Ill always love, and the new album is no exception, and he’s really lifted his game since he put out Happy House.
