There are very few bands who get me hot under the collar enough to check their myspace at least once a week for any sign of activity. Golden Silvers have had me hooked ever since their stellar single “Arrows Of Eros”. They’re one of those bands that are destined to explode everywhere as soon as their album is actually released and then you’ll have to keep telling everyone you liked them 12 months BEFORE they were popular.
In lead up to their debut LP they’re releasing the new single and title track “True Romance”, a funky british new wave disco dancefloor filler that is perfectly referenced while managing to sidestep the whole 80’s revival thing and just be themselves enough to place themselves in the future, and not the past.
