Ive fallen pretty hard for Higamos Hogamos. They just strike the right note between krautrock, disco punk and in some cases (like in The Future Hides Its Face) come off sounding like the more melodic synth-rock side of Regurgitator…you remember, way back, when they were still awesome? Heres a few new tracks, and a mix the boys put together.
ALSO!! I mentioned a few weeks ago I was thinking of travelling to Berlin, now its pretty much all decided and Ill be up there in the middle of September. Now Im asking alllllll you amazing Berliners out there reading this: would anybody be kind enough to either let me sleep on the couch OR know anyone up there who may possibly have some spare space to crash for a few days? Id obviously pay rent etc, and wouldnt be in your hair too long. Id just really like a few people I know Id connect with to hang out with up there, show me a few good pubs/clubs/restaurants to check out.

Well, I can’t offer you a place to stay, but I was in Berlin earlier this week and I can offer a little advice. I stayed at East Seven hostel, and it was by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at. If you can’t find an apartment to stay at, I’d suggest you go there. Good clubs are Berghain, Panoramabar and Watergate. I think everyone’s heard of them at some point. For eating/ bars I’d check out the Fredrichshain area. It’s cheaper and younger. Have fun, its a great city.
