German juggernaut label Permanent Vacation have just released a selection of their best work entitled exactly that; Selected Label Works No 1. Included on the compilation are huge tracks from Sally Shapiro, Dolle Jolle, Lullabies In The Dark, Only Fools & Horses and Panthers plus this little ditty by 40 Thieves which is also the intro track on a brilliantly mixed Balance Pres. Electric 04 by Agent 86.

Woolfy & Projections also appear on the new Permanent Vacation release but not in this form, this is a 9 minute deep-progressive-tribal-beast remixed by the Permanent Vacation camp themselves.

Now for an older release on the Permanent Vacation label, this Ilya Sanatana track is a few years old now but still holds its cred amongst today’s newer releases. It’s another 9 minute voyage, or err……vacation!

To round things off I’ve got disko funk from a few years ago by Amplified Orchestra with some pleasant horn stabs plus a couple of fresh releases; one from Soiree and the second is another terrific remix by Pete Herbert of L.S.B, spot a theme developing here?!
