Yes I’m back from Berlin. Unfortunately I didn’t pick up as much good music over there as I hoped I would but Ive still got some gold to post anyway. So open up your ears, you freak.
First up is a compilation of European Minimal Wave ‘81-’86 (with an emphasis on Belgium) called ‘The Lost Tapes‘. The Lost Tapes features rare, unreleased, and licensed tracks from artists that have seemingly all but been forgotten by time. You can hear alot of these tunes shining through bands like Glass Candy, Chromatics and really anything on Italians Do It Better. It might take you a few listens to get into it, but see if you can track down the whole comp, its well worth it. I do recommend the Unovidual track here. Tough Lo-Fi.
MP3: Unovidual – Like I Am, Comme Je Suis.m4a
MP3: Stratis – Green Village
MP3: Elisa Waut – Russia
Next up is Italian producer Alexander Robotnick with probably his best known cult 1983 mutant disco track, Problèmes d’amour. Bouncy little acid loop here too.
