The House deFrost is rather excited to present one of the world’s tastemakers of cool, Trevor Jackson. Chances are you may not have heard of him. However you will, unknowingly, be be familiar with his “output”. By day he is a cutting edge designer and has been responsible for album covers for everyone from The Jungle Brothers to Belgium’s favorite sons Soulwax. By night he is a DJ come producer come party starter his mind blowing “Playgroup Party Mix” was a mash-up when mash-up’s were just mixes. He has remixed Run DMC, Chicks On Speed, The Gossip, Hell, Massive Attack & U.N.K.L.E, in short he works hard for the money [so hard for the money!]. Trevor Jackson is an absolute workhorse his discography & portfolio is staggering to say the least. Spanning every genre you could imagine and a few he probably made up, there is pretty much nothing this man cannot do. He helmed the iconic genre bending label “Output Recordings” hailed as a modern day Factory records for it’s Art Direction and musical genius, responsible for bands like LCD Soundsystem, The Rapture, Four Tet, MU & Colder. As an artist Trevor has exhibited at ICA, BALTIC, GUHGGENHEIM and BARBICAN. Madonna named TJ as her Favorite DJ [which is kinda right and wrong all at the same time]. Trevor has traveled the world over and we are pretty damn excited to be presenting him on his debut visit to Australia! TJ is a fan of the smaller venue, so you can rest assured that this night will be something special and probably one not to be repeated.
