Tig and Nick Huggins of the Two Bright Lakes label here in Melbourne (Seagull, Psuche, Otouto etc) have changed it up a bit and been collaborating on new project under the guise Speed Painters. The boys have played a bunch of shows throughout 2010 and are hard at work finishing their debut album, incorporating disco, motor soul and house music – it’s going to be a record to savour upon it’s release in early 2011.
Another local duo just cutting their teeth are Wildlife. You might have seen them around as Quick Fix DJ’s. An endeavor comprising Ross Paxman (ex-Young And Restless) and Rohan Newman, the guys have worked up a mix of Miami Horror’s track ‘I Look To You’.
