Philadelphia’s Pink Skull are back with a new album release on one of my favourite labels out of NY, Rvng Intl.
“Psychic Welfare” contains 13 tracks and is best described by Rvng Intl. as “a map of time and space portals in which the listener can navigate from the corroded corners of machinated life to boundless, amorphous space in mere seconds.” Neat!
From their 2009 album “Endless Bummer”, the band has expanded its personnel and picked up two additional new talents: Adam Sparkles & Robin van der Kaa (of David Gilmour Girls fame [Relish]).
RVNG Intl. will release the vinyl edition of Psychic Welfare on September 13 with the digit set to arrive two weeks later on September 27. Pink Skull’s ‘Bee Nose EP’ can be bought from JunoDownload here.
This Brassica remix (from the EP) is really something – hot tip! Michael A. Wright (Brassica) has had releases on the now defunct Dissident and also Tartaruga Rec, Nocturnes & Relish:

Here are two tracks I adore from the soon-to-be-released album “Psychic Welfare” (stream only):
