Marco Niemerski, founder of the labels Mirau and Glossy Music, but best known as the German producer/DJ Tensnake is back in Australia once more for the Parklife 2011 festival circuit, which features some well known acts such as Simian Mobile Disco, Death from Above 1979, Sebastien Tellier & more, with local talent like Andee Frost, Andras Fox, etc. [Melb] (check for tickets here).
So, straight after the Melb Parklife fest there is an intimate Tensnake gig in the Mercat basement, a one-off party and first-time venture into Melbourne territory by Sydney’s Future Classic. Supporting on the night are the Future Classic DJs, Melbourne Deepcast DJs and finally Mercat regulars Otologic. First release tickets are sold out but second release are still available and can be purchased here. For more info, check the RA website and also the Facebook event page.
We all know that ‘Coma Cat’ tune which swept through the music world but instead I’ve put up some other jams that span across Tensnake’s back catalog, covering releases on labels such as Mirau, Radius, Endless Flight and Running Back. I do believe the last one is unreleased and was given out as a Halloween present.
Tensnake – Around the House
Tensnake – Hanselstadt
Tensnake – Seconds of Gwernd
Tensnake – Tavira
Tensnake – TheThenUnknown
Tensnake – False Pretender
However, Tensnake first started producing music (to my knowledge) under his real name (minus the ‘o’) of Marc Moureau, back in 1999. Here, he only released one EP which is more of a straight-up house feel:
Marco was also part of two groups: Arp Aubert [w/ Stephan Lorenz] & Tonic People [w/ Andi Meid aka D.I.M. (who's also in Kid Alex/PUZIQUe with Alexander Ridha)]
Arp Aubert – Actress (Lawrence Remix)
Kid Alex Presents Tonic People – Hambit

I was hoping you got a hold of Tensnake’s “Hurricane” to share with us, but this post was fantastic anyway.
