Thanks to the Strobe crew there is a huge killer party coming to Roxanne Parlour on Saturday February 7. This will be Strobe’s first party and what better way to kick things off with Tiga’s TURBO OMINDANCE TOUR with stars like Russia’s the Proxy (real name Yevgeny Alexandrovitch Pozharnov), Tiga’s younger brother Thomas Von Party, Bang Gang’s Gus da Hoodrat, Boogs, 1928, Kitsune new signings La Mode and Tranter, with many others to make an appereanance.

The label all begun in March of 1998 as a partnership between two friends and DJs, Mark Dillon and Tiga. Turbo has an extensive of artists signed under its wings like Tiga, Lafleche, John Aquaviva, Jesper Dahlback, Dune, Alexi Delano, Fred Everything to Jori Hulkkonen, Boys Noize, Chromeo, Proxy, d.i.m., Jori Hulkkonen, Sweetlight and ZZT. It’s clear the label contains quite an array of talent, with only bigger things expected in the future. Turbo marked it’s 10 years anniversary in 2008, and to celebrate a global campaign was begun.

To familiarize yourself with the backgrounds of Proxy and Thomas, I suggest you read the blurbs on the Strobe myspace page found here. I quite enjoy the quote Tiga used to describe Proxy:

‘From the ashes of the soviet empire, from the flames of history, rises the proxy. Post 9/11 rave vibes cloaked in muscovite angst. The future and the past rolled up.’ – TIGA.

Tickets are available through DJs, promoters, Hear Now Records and Moshtix, with some on the door. If really lost, just contact the blog. We are also running a little bonus trick here too: if you are the 10th person to email the blog then a double pass for the event is all yours for the keeping.

This remix gives it a buzzing, deep electro twist. Not bad. Check out Adam’s Myspace for a few of his live mix tapes.
