Well, I thought now where on hype machine were getting a few more hits than we used to. Most of you reading wouldn’t have been around the grab some of the older tracks that I quite liked. Managed to get my grubby little paws on the Soulwax remixes compilation, aptly titled (I guess): “Most Of The Remixes We’ve Made Over The Years Except For One By Einsturzende Neubaten Because We Lost It And A Few We Didn’t Think Sounded Good Enough Or Just Didn’t Fit In. But Including Some That Are Hard To Find Because Either People Forgot About Them Or Just Simply Because They Haven’t Been Released Yet. A Few We Really Love. One We Think Is Just OK. Some We Did For Free. Some We Did For Money. Some Just For Ourselves Without Permission And Some For Friends As Swaps But Never On Time And Always At Our Studio In Ghent.” Their remixes always kill and I never thought Id ever hear myself say I could enjoy anything with an association with Robbie Williams. Most of the tracks you’ll probably already have, so I’ll chuck up some of the better ones you wont.

Every style of music has its predecessors. Whether they directly link to today’s music or just paved the way, there’s always a connection. 808 state circa 1989-92 produced some great tracks that had a big impact on the British electronic music scene and pioneered the acid house movement of the time. This track comes off their 1990 album ‘Utd. State 90’, and various remixes have been played by Justice in their recent sets (see the PinkPonyParty DJ set). The second track is another heavily Justice and SebastiAn played track, by a Belgium group called Outlander released 1992. If you went to their sideshows you may have heard it before. Have a listen.
