KANSAS!

I never thought I would be posting a track by, dare I say it, Sneaky Sound System. But alas, some kick ass people like Lifelike, Tomboy and our own Beni Single [Riot in Belgium] (check our older post on him for a song of his that was on Relish EP 2) have done remixes of Sneaky’s new track “Kansas City”. I’m leaning more towards Tomboy’s mix, but I guess there isn’t one remix that stands out. The vocal is terrible in general and the band is notoriously known for that Tonite Only remix of “Pictures” which has tainted many souls. The Lifelike remix is pretty nice, synthy and all that jazz. Clearly not his best work but still enjoyable. Beni’s, well…, most of it shits me with that repetitive tone, but some cool shit is in there. It’s still cool.

Bottomline is, its Sneaky; I wasn’t expecting much.

Yeah and since we all love Beni, here is his take on Digitalism’s “Pogo”..

Ohayo Japan! Your favourite German electro-rockers Digitalism has just touched down in Japan (well yesterday really) to start their Japanese Tour before they head of to Ukraine (wow!)/Europe, the States and then finally the UK. To celebrate the Japanese tour, theres a Japanese-only EP “Moshi Moshi” (translation: Hello [on the phone]) floating around, containing eight rare and live tracks. You can buy this from Juno.

La la la Mode

I love getting mail. Well, they don’t call me ‘Postman Patch’ for nothing, hey? Anyway, the latest email I have recently received is from Melbournian electro-rockers La Mode. With influences from Riot in Belgium to Daft Punk, who could go wrong? ‘Salami’ is a sorcher, but what really impresses me is their remixes…

Jesus would have danced too

Finally, this blog has made the transition from the idea womb as a mucous covered blob and formed itself into something a little more recognisable. Nice work pat. Shall we get started then? Obviously these two need no introduction. Everyone by now has at least danced their freakin ass off to tracks such as pogo and burst their eardrums to Jupiter room. Isi and Jens of Digitalism are making the music that’s making half the world dance. If their album Idealism isn’t in your possession or you still haven’t have a listen yet, then your crazy or in a coma. Here’s something a little harder to find to add to the collection, plus a few of Jens’ own solo tracks under the name ‘Jence’.
