New Surkin “Next of Kin” out on Institubes 07/04/2008. Some may say his style has changed but I believe the ‘Surkin’ feel is still there and to be frank, I’m a huge fan. Todd Edwards comes back with another dope remix, giving the self-titled track a more “french-house” feel. I’m also quite glad he is giving more attention to today’s artists (Klaxons and Justice for example) because his work is simply amazing. If you don’t believe me have a look for his remixes of Benjamin Diamond’s “Little Scare” and also Zoot Woman’s “Taken It All”. Look out on Arcade Mode for “Next of Kin”, this release will pop around very soon.

I have been really slack of late. It looks like the rest of the WAVESATNIGHT crew haven’t got their priorities right. For me, there will be a self-imposed hiatus from blogging, due to coming exams. Not fun-on second thought, school isn’t meant to be fun!
Advice for you cool cats out there who are doing exams - don’t go out. You will fail miserably. Fight your urges to procrastinate however hard it may be. At Klaxons, the last weekend before I knuckle down, I expressed my anger (even though I was just a tad starstruck) to Cut Copy maestro Dan Whitford for putting their tour during exam time. Why oh why you dirty pirate hooker?
Instead of calling the waambulance, I’m taking some advice from my main man Robert Smith and putting on a brave face…
Wow. Gosh. Where do I start… Supposedly there was meant to be an “It’s Not Over Yet” remix done by Justice for the Brittish “Atlantis to Interzone” rockers Klaxons but this one has come from left-field. Actually, the ‘As Above So Below’ single will be digitally released in France on October 22nd with this Justice remix + a French version of the original song. Good stuff! The laid-back remix contains a dash of ZZT’s “Lower States” and also a spoonful of Soulwax’s remix of “Phantom, Pt. 2″. It’s a good listen. It’s Justice. Enough said.
