Although there are only five boroughs, a number of areas near and far have been rhetorically identified as New York City’s “Sixth Borough“. Places to which the “sixth borough” appellation have been applied include New Jersey (especially Hudson County, New Jersey or Newark, New Jersey); Nassau County, New York; Philadelphia; South Florida and even Israel. The only proposal to merit any formal consideration was a 1934 bill submitted by a New York City alderman that suggested merging Yonkers into New York City as a sixth borough.

This Friday Granny has a mighty storm brewing in her fine tea. Jacques Renault, one half of Brookyn duo Runaway (DFA / REKIDS / I’m a Cliche / Wurst Edits) will be making an appearence at Sorry Grandma!, alongside UK’s dub house & deep space disco guru Trus’Me – this night won’t disappoint.

Jacques has also released (while ago) a selection of fine edits on the rad Revenge label. JD posted up a track from the release a short time ago aswell. Jacques has recently done a remix of Lost Valentino’s “Serio” and will shortly be remixing Canyons, who actually just got signed to Modular and DFA.

So everyone, get down to Sorry Grandma! this Friday May 8th for a cracker of an evening. Trus’Me starts at midnight so get there before or else you will be one unhappy grandson/daughter/cat.
