<p>OK, this is a warning&#8230; You <strong>must</strong> sample/play/download/lick/fuck/etc. every song/edit/rmx that I have put into this post as it&#8217;s all gold. News wise&#8230; we now have <a href="http://www.twitter.com/wavesatnight" target="_blank">Twitter</a> so follow us on that bad boy. I think it&#8217;s social internet v3 or some shit so we may as well embrace it and not live like a dinosaur under a rock.</p>
<p>Since this post is going to be massive, I&#8217;m going to keep the talking to a minimum, and the tunes to a maximum. RAWRRRRRR!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/aeroplanemusiclove">Aeroplane</a> are my favourite cosmic-goodness producers at the moment, and it will remain that way with all their constantly churned out goodness that has been gracing my ears of late. Only last week, I managed to get this long awaited <a href="http://www.myspace.com/feedelity">Lindstrom</a> <a href="http://www.myspace.com/lindstromandsolale">&amp; Solale</a> remix that hopefully gets a proper release soon. However, their <a href="http://www.sendspace.com/file/l7o82w">latest mixtape</a> for Mixmag is pretty disappointing. Meh.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/babyicantstop-aeroplaneremix.mp3">Lindstrom &amp; Solale &#8211; Baby I Can&#8217;t Stop (Aeroplane Remix)</a></p>
<p>Sticking with topic of Aeroplane, <a href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Javelo">Javelo</a> is one of the other alias&#8217;s the lads used, before Aeroplane started. Great remix from <a href="http://www.myspace.com/compuphonicmax">Compuphonic</a>.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/spleen-compuphonicrmx.mp3">Javelo &#8211; Spleen (Compuphonic Remix)</a></p>
<p>Lindstrom &amp; <a href="http://www.myspace.com/prinsthomas">Prins Thomas</a> have their second album &#8220;II&#8221; coming out shortly which is just bliss. More live feel to it, great input from Thomas here. The drums sound great. What can I say &#8211; they are the Nordic legends of cosmic disco.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/lindstrom_prinsthomas-rothaus.mp3">Lindstrom &amp; Prins Thomas &#8211; Rothaus</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/stillgoing">Still Going</a> and Prins Thomas have done great remixes to the album title track &#8220;Kingdom of Rust&#8221; by Brittish indie-rock band <a href="http://www.doves.net/">Doves</a>. The second album just dropped (last one was in 2005); I strongly suggest you get your hands on &#8220;Kingdom of Rust&#8221; &#8211; that good!<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/kingdomofrust-stillgoingrmx.mp3">Doves &#8211; Kingdom of Rust (Still Going Remix)</a><br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/kingdomofrust-prinsthomasdiskomiks.mp3">Doves &#8211; Kingdom of Rust (Prins Thomas Diskomiks)</a></p>
<p>Thomas just released a great 12&#8243; on his label <a href="http://www.myspace.com/fullpupp">Full Pupp</a>.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/prinsthomas-fizpatrick.mp3">Prins Thomas &#8211; Fizpatrick</a></p>
<p>Goodness from <a href="http://www.myspace.com/princelanguage">Prince Language</a>, <a href="http://www.myspace.com/toddterje">Todd Terje</a>, <a href="http://www.myspace.com/pilooski">Pilooski</a> and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/discodeine">Discodeine</a> (Pentile &amp; Pilooski) &#8230; flourishing.<br />

<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/deathdisco-toddterjeedit.mp3">Arbeid Adelt &#8211; Death Disco (Todd Terje Edit)</a><br />
(Woops, sorry A.D.D., didn&#8217;t mean to cut your lunch &#8211; posted <a href="http://www.wavesatnight.com/2009/02/02/they-came-from-the-stars/">here</a> first.)<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/extraball-pilooskirmx.mp3">Yuksek &#8211; Extraball (Pilooski Remix)</a><br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/theplot-discodeine.mp3">WhoMadeWho &#8211; The Plot (Discodeine Remix)</a></p>
<p>Great release from <a href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Loin+Brothers">Loin Brothers</a> on Australian label <a href="http://www.futureclassic.com.au/">Future Classic</a> &#8211; brilliant remix from <a href="http://www.discogs.com/label/Tiny+Sticks+Records">Tiny Sticks</a> owners/DFA kids <a href="http://www.myspace.com/mockandtoof">Mock &amp; Toof</a>; really enjoying this one. Speaking of Tiny Sticks, get your hands on <a href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Rogue+Cat">Rogue Cat&#8217;s</a> (Dean Meredith from <a href="http://www.myspace.com/chickenlipsproductions">Chicken Lips</a>) &#8220;Magic Journey&#8221; &#8211; the Terje remix is pure.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/heavyhelmet-mockntoofrmx.mp3">Loin Brothers &#8211; Heavy Helmet (Mock &amp; Toof Remix)</a></p>
<p>New <a href="http://www.dfarecords.com/">DFA</a> is always refreshing and especially when it&#8217;s a new act added to the roster. UK&#8217;s <a href="http://www.myspace.com/capracara">Capracara</a> (Jonathan Burnip of Tiger Taming) just released &#8220;King of the Witches&#8221;, a track that fuses Kraut with Chicago discohouse. <a href="http://www.myspace.com/rubntug">Rub N Tug&#8217;s</a> take this track head on, giving it heavy Italo basslines and haunting synth lines, making it one disco killer. Caoracara is doing a remix of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/detachments">Detachment&#8217;s</a> &#8220;The Flowers That Fell&#8221;, being released early April on <a href="http://www.thisisnotanexit.net/main.htm">ThisIsNotAnExit Records</a> &#8211; home of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/theycamefromthestarsisawthem">They Came From The Stars, I Saw Them</a>, etc.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/kingofthewitches-rubntugrmx.mp3">Capracara &#8211; King of the Witches (Rub N Tug Remix)</a></p>
<p>DFA&#8217;s little brother <a href="http://www.rongmusic.net">Rong</a> has always been delivering the goods. <a href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Free+Disco">Free Disco&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Left Field Boogie&#8221; is the latest release on Rong and its quirky as fuck. Very cheeky; great bass, handclaps, also embraces the nice string sounds making you want to dance like your mother when she was in form at your 10th birthday party.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/freedisco-leftfieldboogie.mp3">Free Disco &#8211; Left Field Boogie</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/denhaan">Den Haan&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Release the Beast&#8221; is one huge, umm, beast?&#8230; of a track. Such a gem &#8211; released on <a href="http://www.discogs.com/artist/Optimo+(2)">Optimo&#8217;s </a>Keith McIvor&#8217;s label, <a href="http://www.discogs.com/label/Optimo+Music">Optimo Music</a>. Such a beast, tame that fucker.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/denhaan-releasethebeast.mp3">Den Haan &#8211; Release the Beast</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/higamoshogamos">Higamos Hogamos</a> has been getting a good workout at the blog. <a href="http://ww.myspace.com/mickeymoonlight">Mickey Moonlight</a> gives some majoring blitzkrieging here.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/majormlitzkrieg-mickeymoonlightrmx.mp3">Higamos Hogamos &#8211; Major Blitzkrieg (Mickey Moonlight Remix)</a></p>
<p>The latest <a href="http://www.discogs.com/label/Rvng+Intl.">RVNG OF THE NRDS</a> release is from <a href="http://www.myspace.com/inflagranti">In Flagranti</a> and its so so dope. Great edits.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/seaskid-swami-inflagranti.mp3">Sea Skid &#8211; Swami</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.permanent-vacation-records.com">Permanent Vacation</a> can do no wrong and this newish release from their camp by <a href="http://www.myspace.com/ggmfilburt">Good Guy Mikesh &amp; Filburt</a> is unquestionably so underated. I highly recommend this track &#8211; great disco fused with techno, works so well; enjoy.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/someonetoldme.mp3">Good Guy Mikesh &amp; Filburt &#8211; Someone Told Me</a></p>
<p>This <a href="http://www.myspace.com/lifelikevulture">Lifelike</a> remix is god damn funky. Digging this big time.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/mysecretlover-lifeikermx.mp3">The Private &#8211; My Secret Lover (Lifelike Remix)</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/bottinski">Bottin&#8217;</a> is a great little addition to <a href="http://www.myspace.com/italiansdoitbetterrecords">Italians Do It Better</a>. Really feeling this.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/nostatic-clubversion.mp3">Bottin &#8211; No Static (Club Version)</a></p>
<p>This <a href="http://www.myspace.com/weareescort">Escort</a> remix of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/zombi">Zombi&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Sapphire&#8221; is just a hidden beauty, classic stuff.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/sapphire-escortremix.mp3">Zombi &#8211; Sapphire (Escort Remix)</a></p>
<p>Brooklyn&#8217;s <a href="http://www.myspace.com/house0fhouse">House of House&#8217;s</a> track &#8220;Rushing to Paradise&#8221; is a nice little deep house number. Great piano in this one, highly recommend a listen.<br />
Visit them at their <a href="http://www.myspace.com/house0fhouse">myspace</a> or buy the record <a href="http://www.juno.co.uk/ppps/products/341463-01.htm">here</a>.</p>
<p>You may remember <a href="http://www.myspace.com/simonbakerinfantrecords">Simon Baker</a> for his remix of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/simianmobiledisco">SMD&#8217;s</a> &#8220;Sleep Deprivation&#8221; or his song &#8220;Plastik&#8221; that Todd Terje mixed. Either way, check this out.<br />
<strong>MP3: </strong><a class="mp3" href="http://wavesatnight.com/patch/03-2009/music/wayoutofmyhead.mp3">Simon Baker &#8211; Way Out of My Head</a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.myspace.com/gusdahoodrat">Gus da Hoodrat</a> of <a href="http://www.banggang.com.au/">Bang Gang Deeeejaaaayss</a> has his new mixtape out in the Finger Prince series &#8211; very tightttttt. <p>Aaaaaaaaand to wrap up this post, last but not least here is some more great things from <a href="http://www.myspace.com/outlawsmusic">Outlaws</a>, who received great acclaim from his work that was presented to the blog in the <a href="http://www.wavesatnight.com/2008/07/17/outlaws/">past</a>. First up is a remix of <a href="http://www.myspace.com/cassettekids">Cassette Kids</a> which has a huge, sad story behind it but I will leave that for a rainy day. I don&#8217;t want to dampen the mood here but at least enjoy the remix, its dope.<br />

<p>I thought I&#8217;d share with you a couple of jams from someones who&#8217;s always continually impressed me with each new release&#8230;Mr. <a href="http://www.myspace.com/toddterje">Todd (Tango) Terje</a>. Infusing latin-jazz-bossa-disco beats together has always come easy for this Norwegian born producer. You can find a stack load of edit&#8217;s under his &#8216;Tangoterje&#8217; moniker including re-works of Michael &#8216;Jacko&#8217; Jackson, Chic, The Bee Gee&#8217;s, Kraftwerk&#8217;s &#8216;Home Computer&#8217; and even The Knight Rider Theme.</p>
<p>Below is an older edit under his &#8216;Tango&#8217; alias of Paul Simon&#8217;s &#8216;Diamonds on the Soles of her Shoes&#8217;, simply titled &#8216;Diamond Dub&#8217;. It&#8217;s a 7 minute exploration through the African savanna accompanied by loads of percussion and plenty of echo&#8217;d vocal samples from the original track with a killer bass line.<br />
The Simon Baker edit of &#8216;Plastik&#8217; was something that Todd started for fun and then realised it&#8217;s potential and released it on the Playhouse label, complete with rolling bassline and simple cosmic treatments.</p>
<p>One of his most recent productions is a remix under his usual guise of the terrific <a href="http://www.myspace.com/josegonzalez">Jose Gonzales</a> track &#8216;Killing for Love&#8217;. The original is so powerful and strong it&#8217;s hard to imagine it being improved upon but somehow Terje has done so. He created some catchy guitar samples and threw them under an amazing bass riff that screams to me Fleetwood Mac &#8216;Tusk&#8217; (does anyone else hear that too?).</p>

<p>The last track is something I stumbled across the other day, it&#8217;s a progressive chaotic beast with a great drum beat and synth work all fighting for somebodies attention. Although an odd intro, you must wait at least 40 seconds for the fury to begin&#8230;.</p>
