Glossy I have to admit I dont know too much about. Belonging to the same afro-beat disco school as anything on the Label Permanent Vacation or DFA at the moment it seems. ‘Burning Love’ has all the little tricks; a deep throbbing bass line, soft echo vox, sharp hats. Very smooth.

The Embassy, from Sweden, I dont dig all that much. I never really converted to their brand of synthpop. But Tensnake I do like. Lately he’s been releasing some great stuff, enough to start really giving him a much bigger name. His remix of ‘Lurking’ is definitely up there with the rest of his stuff. An infusion of tropicalia, disco beats and what almost sounds like pan pipes. Again, very smooth.
