Another Presets update. After hearing Kicking And Screaming the last time I caught the Presets I was looking forward to the album version. Now after hearing this, Im not too sure. Same with A New Sky. I really, really loved This Boys In Love, but the verdicts still out on these two new tracks. As usual, buy the stuff too.

The Presets - Kicking & Screaming (Laneway Festival, Melbourne (2008))
I remember hearing this at Daft Punk… which is pretty much the only thing I can remember from Daft Punk. However, you can just feel yourself getting giddy in anticipation, so much so your not sure if your hungry or you need to have a wank. ALSO a slight treat… you have probably only just heard it on the radio if your lucky. Jori Hulkkonen, Lifelike (yesss!!!), Kevin Saunderson remix’s are going to be surfacing soon, bundled with a KIM edit. MP3:The Presets - This Boys In Love
Well, I thought now where on hype machine were getting a few more hits than we used to. Most of you reading wouldn’t have been around the grab some of the older tracks that I quite liked. Well here’s the re-post (if Hyperbole can regurgitate, so can I). Theres a few older songs you may have missed and a few classics.
Well christmas is over and I finally have access to the net again. Now for some news. I honestly thought these guys had broken up a while back, since I hadnt heard anything from or about them since early on this millenium (sounds like a long time if you say it like that, huh). Well, anyway, Mouse On Mars are a duo, Andi Toma and an St. Werner, from Germany and they have produced a handfull of albums that range from ambient electronica to bubbly, eclectic disco. I reccomend having a trawl through their back catalouge, especially ‘Iaora Tahiti’. Well, The Presets have proven they have their eyes on electronic musics roots as well as the currrent scene, with Mouse on Mars having a tinker with the new single. You can find the MOM remix on the upcoming ‘My People’ release on Modular sometime in January, along with the D.I.M. and Kris Menace remixes too. So BUY BUY BUY! For now here’s taster (too bad electrorash beat me to it).
Busy busy busy. The Presets have taken a break from their ear numbing tour schedule to bang out a new single, ‘My People’, which will be released on December 18th. Check out their myspace tomorrow (21st Nov) for a sneak preview.
Well, it’s been a while since my last post. Probably just a combination of holiday laziness, being hungover, work or just haven’t come across anything new and post-worthy. I still haven’t. So I’m going to spread the love of the back catalogue. This time it’s a band that I have definitely seen too many times (6 coming on 7 by the 14th of December) but still will never get sick of them. The Presets, Julian Hamilton and Kimberly Moyes, always kill live. Here’s a few old B-sides and rarities.
